Experienced litigator admitted to practice since 1994 in the field of criminal, employment and civil practice, Hasnal is continually appointed to act for politicians, chief ministers, public bodies, members of Parliament and the Government of Malaysia. His expertise has landed him as legal advisor on several occasions to the ruling party, Barisan Nasional on various issues. In the area of public and administrative law, he has extensive experience having acted as counsel for federal and state parliamentary candidates in challenging the outcome of federal or state election processes.
Hasnal has handled a wide variety of cases on contractual claims, shareholders disputes, construction contracts, tortious land actions, as well as cases on criminal breach of trust. He has acted for several local celebrities on contractual issues including one on a murder charge. He was co-counsel in the Althantuya murder case with Kamarul. He is also an expert on cases involving detainees under the Internal Security Act. In the realm of employment matters, he is considered to be one of the best.
